Medical Grade Remediation Training

Specialized, unique approach to training focused on closing the gap between the needs and challenges of CIRS patients and effective remediation, solutions and prevention of reoccurrences.

Students will learn remediation project management, ensuring proper techniques recommended in the Indoor Environmental Professionals Panel of Surviving Mold Consensus Statement.

We are dedicated to helping everyone involved in the process understand the nature of water, mold, buildings and remediation and move beyond the limitations of "remediation as usual".

 Course Objectives:

The key objectives of this course are for contractors and mold related professionals to expand existing field knowledge to the specialized field of medical grade remediation and upon completion of this course will be able to:

·       Understand proper sampling methodology and ordering proper lab tests to determine locations and extent of mold amplification.

·       Develop a remediation protocol for medical grade remediation, including proper containment protocols, cleaning practices and supplies, and other remediation methods necessary to prevent recontamination or cross-contamination.

·       Interpret initial lab reports and compare against post cleaning verification sampling reports to ensure micro-particulates have been thoroughly remediated.

Topics Include:

·       Introduction to Mold remediation & basic microbiology.

·       Review of industry standards, publications, and governmental guidelines for remediation.

·       Technical protocols and industry references of the Medical Grade Remediation subset of mold
